Merry Christmas!!

Taylor's first Christmas was awesome! Santa Claus was VERY nice to Taylor....I guess you can say she was a pretty good girl this year.

We started out the holidays by going to Houston the Friday before Christmas. We then got up early on Saturday and went to College Station to have Christmas with Doug, Kelley and Jackson. Taylor went to her first A&M basketball game...and she hated every minute of it!! Unlike her cousin Jack (who is an absolute pro at going to the games!), Taylor wasn't used to the loud noises. It's always so cute when Taylor and Jackson get together. They just love to study each other. They seem to say so much to each other through their facial expressions. Taylor was especially loving towards Jack this time....she would lean into him and give him hugs. And then she decided she was going to give him a kiss....she grabbed his face with both of her hands and planted a big wet one on his face. Jack didn't know what hit him!

We went back to Houston on Saturday night. On Christmas Eve, we went to Marsha and Alan's house and got to see the entire Wilson/Bailey group. Taylor had so much fun playing with her cousins Vayley, Sadie and Luke. Cousin Steffanie bought Taylor the cutest stuffed pig...and Taylor absolutely adores it. She just loves that pig! When you hand it to her, she grabs it and pulls it tight into her body and then she lays her head down on it.....like she's cuddling up to it. It's too cute!

On Christmas morning, Taylor got to open all of her presents from Nana and Doodah. I think it's safe to say that Taylor will not be needing any new toys anytime soon! After breakfast, we went to see the Crumpler side of the family at Granny and Poppy's lake house in West Columbia. We had a great time seeing everyone.

The day after Christmas we traveled to Dallas to spend the rest of the holidays with the Hart side of the family. We got to open presents with Mimi, Poppa, Haley and Ryan when we got there. Taylor received lots of goodies.....the coolest things were a personalized chair from Mimi and Poppa and a big red wagon from Aunt Haley and Uncle Ryan. On Friday, we had dinner with the Tokarz group, Brennan, and cousins Carmen and Brian. Taylor had a fun time hanging out with Shelby, Jerzy and Knox. On Saturday, Granny Hart, Nancy, Patty, Charles and Sterling all came to visit with Taylor.

We left for Lubbock on Sunday. We had a great time visiting with everyone. We are truly blessed with great families. We just love seeing everyone. We were sad to head back home.....mainly because we realized that it would be a while before we saw anyone again. Too bad Lubbock is so far away!!

Taylor is playing with her computer play system that she got from Santa Claus. She's so funny about it....she really watches the screen when she pushes buttons!

Taking a quick break from playing to show us her "Pepaw" face!

Taylor's opening one of her first presents at Aunt Kelley's and Uncle Doug's house. She really enjoyed the tissue paper.

It's cold outside...

Well, it's official. Taylor likes cold weather just like her mommy and daddy! We are so excited about that!! A couple of weekends ago, when it was chilly (either in the upper 30s or lower 40s...don't remember the exact temperature), we were hanging Christmas lights outside and we had Taylor out there with us. Of course, we had her bundled up from head-to-toe, and even had a big blanket on her. The whole time she was squealing with laughter and just having a great time watching Belle run around. So we decided to take Taylor and Belle for a walk to the park, and that's when the fun really began! Tyson strapped Taylor into her front carrier, and Taylor giggled the entire time she was in there.

Now, if only we could get a little snow...

This is how Taylor looked the entire time we were at the park....just as happy as can be!

A good shot of Taylor's bottom teeth! And a runny nose....did I mention that it was cold outside!!

Thanksgiving

Taylor's first Thanksgiving was great. We did lots of traveling...and surprisingly, Taylor was a good sport about it. We traveled to Temple on Wednesday night before Thanksgiving and then spent a wonderful Thanksgiving day with Tyson's grandfather, parents, Haley and Ryan, and Tyson's Aunt Shelly, Uncle Pat and his cousins, Kayla, Josh, Brock and Chase.

We went to College Station on Friday morning to visit Taylor's cousin Jackson (who just turned 3 months old), Uncle Doug and Aunt Kelley, and Nana and Doodah. Taylor was very interested in Jackson...she's really never seen a younger baby before! While in CS, we took "Christmas" pictures with cousin Jackson....Nana bought some cute, matching outfits for Taylor and Jackson...so they had to have a photo shoot. We headed back to Temple on Saturday evening, and then returned to Lubbock on Sunday morning.

The craziest part of the whole trip was traveling back to Lubbock in a snow storm! It snowed on us for almost two hours! It was very exciting....almost like we were going somewhere cool (like Colorado or something)....but sadly, we ended up in Lubbock. And to top things off, the second we entered the Lubbock city limits, it stopped snowing! What luck! And for those of you wondering, Taylor did not see her first snow....she was crashed out in the car! I'm sure we'll have other opportunities to see snow while we're here in Lubbock!

Taylor was definitely the turkey on Thanksgiving Day!!

Chilling out with Aunt Haley and Uncle Ryan

Taylor and Jackson's first encounter. They both seemed to be mesmerized by each other. And for those wondering, Taylor is not wearing any clothes because she quickly managed to have an accident all over her clothes the minute we got to Jackson's house!

Just playing with cousin Jack!

Two crashed out babies!

Jackson had the right idea....just sleep through the whole thing!

Jackson was still being perfect....Taylor was being a turkey (again!)

Happy Halloween

Taylor's first Halloween and our first Halloween in Lubbock. Tyson carved the angry monkey from the "Family Guy" TV show. Taylor was the cutest penguin. Surprisingly, she didn't mind her outfit. In fact, we think that she was quite fond of her flippers! We didn't do any trick-or-treating....Taylor got dressed up mainly for pictures!

Taylor approves of Tyson's pumpkin!

Taylor's looking for the rest of the monkey.

Welcome!

Welcome to Taylor's new blog site! We will be posting pictures and videos (hopefully) on this site from here on out.

Taylor is doing super! She's just over six months old. She's scooting around all over the place. She gets up on her hands and knees and rocks back and forth. We're pretty sure she'll be crawling before Thanksgiving.

She's doing great at eating her food. We've been introducing new fruits and vegetables into her diet, and so far, she hasn't found a flavor she doesn't like. She's even starting to eat in her highchair! She's becoming such a big girl!

She "talks" all of the time. We're pretty sure that her first word is going to be "Belle"....or rather, "No Belle!!" It still seems like Belle is the only one that can really make her laugh. We can generate the occasional giggle, but nothing makes her laugh like a dog can!

Taylor and Belle

While Tyson was playing the guitar for Taylor, Belle felt compelled to lay her head in Taylor's lap. Such love for each other!!

Taylor LOVES to get Belle!

Belle is such a good sport!

Say Cheese!

Taylor had her first professional pictures taken on Sunday. She did so good. In the beginning, we got her to smile pretty easily. After we changed her into her overalls, she was getting tired, so we were really having to work hard to get some smiles. In the end, she was a trouper and we got some great pictures!

Taylor's first professional pictures! She did awesome. We got lots of smiles from her!

Taylor's trying to eat the props!

Oh boy! If she keeps practicing this look, she'll get away with murder!

At the Pumpkin Patch

Mimi and Poppa came to visit this weekend!! We took Taylor to an apple orchard to go pick some fresh apples, but there were no apples!! The orchard lost their entire crop during a freeze back in April.....sounds oddly familiar.....could it have been the same cold weekend that Taylor was born?!?

But there were plenty of pumpkins to choose from. We even snapped a few pics of Taylor sitting with the pumpkins!

Taylor sitting by some weird-looking pumpkins!! And she's not too sure about the hay!

No smiling here. Taylor's too busy trying to figure out what the heck is going on!

We found a cute little wooden chair to prop Taylor up in. She's still not too sure about what we were doing there!

Finally! Some pumpkins that were just her size!
