October Fun

Cousins got to hang out together at Nana's house!  Fun times!!

It was hard to get a picture of Ben because he's always moving!!  He was sweet enough to pose with Taylor.

Thank goodness we no longer have to use pacifiers!!

 And the silliness continues...

 Carving pumpkins is hard work!

Getting her face painted at her school's Boo Bingo night.

 Just beautiful!

 Grady's cat face!

A witch and her "scary" cat!

Getting ready to sack race at our church's Fall Festival.

Decorating cookies.....which they immediately gave to their daddy to eat!!  My kids love to make and decorate cookies, but they really don't like to eat them!

End of Summer

Taylor and Grady attended fire safety day, and they got to see a fire truck and all the other fun stuff!

Grady did not like the loud noises!!

 Checking out the firetruck!

Some pre-Fourth of July activities.  We watched the City of Nacogdoches' firework display from the SFA campus.  Probably some of the best fireworks we've ever seen!

Over the summer, Taylor got pretty good at baseball....or at least, hitting the ball!!  We have no idea how her fielding skills are!!

Grady just likes to do whatever his sister does!!

Wearing their red, white and blue attire and their glow-in-the-dark bracelets!

Helping Aunt Patty make Uncle Ryan's birthday cake.

Grady just wanted to add the sprinkles!

 The finished product!  Yummy!

First day of school!!  She was so excited!

Getting her picture taken by her new teacher.

Taylor wanted to try riding her bike without training wheels......didn't last long!!  She doesn't quite have the balance thing down yet!!

Taylor's first soccer game!!  Her team is called the Butterflies!

She was so excited that she got to be number 5.....since that is her favorite number (right now!)!!

It was pretty entertaining to watch her play in her first game!  She's used to playing by herself or with her daddy.....not with a bunch of little girls.  We keep telling her to be aggressive and steal the ball whenever she can.  By the end of the game, she was making some pretty good defensive plays.  It should be fun to watch her get better as she starts to understand the game more!

May and June Happenings

May and June have been busy months for us!  Taylor finished up her first year of school at the end of May.  Just before school let out, Taylor's class got to go on a field trip to the Tyler zoo.  Around that time, Jack and Nana came to stay with us for several days, so they got to go to the zoo with us!

Since school has let out, we've been to Houston for a baby shower, Temple for a birthday party and Fairfield to hang out at a lake house.  Then Taylor got to attend her Nature Camp for the second year in a row.....which is something that she really, really enjoys.  Her camp leader told me that Taylor knew every single bird that they found/talked about, and even corrected her on one of the birds.

The next week Taylor and Grady got to attend Vacation Bible School together.  They were in separate groups because of their ages, but the teachers said that every time they would see each other, they would run to each other, give hugs and then tell each other that they loved them.  SOOOO Silly!!!  Needless to say, everyone there thought that my kids were the sweetest ones there.  If they only knew the real Taylor and Grady....he he.

Jack came to visit us for several days and got to go to the zoo with Taylor's class!

Three cousins having fun at the zoo!

So cute!  They were always checking out their zoo maps.....and they always knew right where we were!  Such smart kids!

Definitely his daddy's boy.....being a bare-footer!!  His shoes were hurting his feet so he walked around mostly bare foot!

They were such troopers!  We had to do a lot of walking really quickly (we had to keep up with the group from Taylor's class).  Next time we go, we're going to slow down!!

Soccer time!

These two play so great together!!

Grady and one of his cool tricks!

Taylor on her way up to the stage for her end-of-the-year program.  She's walking with a bubble in her mouth and a duck tail!

Taylor was trying to find us in the audience.....and she did just before they started singing!

Taylor and her best buddy, Leighann!  Such sweet little girls!

Last day of school!!

Last day of school was Field Day!  The kids got to do all kinds of things....water games, face painting, watch movies, etc.

Ready...aim...fire!

Such a little lady!  She was so cute at my cousin Alisha's baby shower!

Here she is playing one of the shower games!  She was so excited that she came in 2nd place in the "make a play-doh baby!"

Taylor LOVES her baby cousin!!  She could spend her whole day playing with him!

Grady loves Hudson, too....however, he would rather just play with all of Hudson's things!!

One thing they both enjoyed....taking Hudson for a walk!

Taylor is so brave!!  She'll do anything with her daddy!!

Silly girl!  Playing at the lake house is hard work!  Everyone has to do their share!

Daddy and his girls!

Grady stayed behind so he could pick on his Poppa!

The paddle boat crew!

Taylor loves swimming in lakes!  Even more than swimming in a swimming pool.  Here she is getting into the water from the boat all by herself.

She wanted to spend as much time as possible in the water.

Taylor and Grady found a tree frog on Poppa's boat.  He was a cute stow-away!

Behind the wheel and in charge!  (Although she's always in charge!!)

Grady wasn't a huge fan of the lake water, but he sure does like playing on the boat.

They're not very easy to see, but this little redhead is starting to get some freckles!

Grady's favorite place on the boat was right next to Taylor!

Taylor and Mimi swimming out in the middle of the lake.

Grady's turn at driving the boat.

Grady's first wake boarding experience!

Painting on a mural at the Blueberry Festival.

Blueberry bubbles.....not really, just bubbles at the Blueberry Festival.

 Queen of the bubbles!

First day at Nature Camp....squirrel day!  She made a corn cob feeder.

 Frog Day!

Bird Day....she made the coolest bird feeder out of a gourd and some new binoculars.

 Last day at camp!

My little Vacation Bible Schoolers!!
