Fun in July

July's been a very busy month for us. We've already traveled to Pasadena, Fredericksburg and Lakehills, and we'll be heading to Bandera in a week. Whew! Good thing gas prices aren't as high as they were last summer!

We were in Fredericksburg for a bridal shower. Taylor is actually going to be the flower girl in Tyson's cousin's (Bekah) wedding this September, so we thought that it would be fun if she went to the shower. She was such a little lady...well, mostly...if you don't include all of the times she lifted her dress over her head. Hopefully she won't do that at the wedding!

When we returned home from the shower, Grady started feeling bad. He had his four-month check-up as soon as we got back, so we were able to ask the doctor about his fever. Turns out he just had some virus going around. He had a low-grade fever for four days and then he finally started feeling better. By the way...his check-up went great. He weighs 14 lb. 5 oz. and is now 26 in. long.

We decided to get up early on Saturday and take the kids to the park since we had a cool front blow in. So cool....it only got to 95 degrees today!! Taylor had a blast (as usual) at the park. Grady seemed to enjoy himself as well. Later that day, we set up a kiddie pool in our backyard and let them "swim." It was Grady's first time, and he wasn't bothered by it at all. In fact, he really liked it...especially when Taylor would swim near him. We'll have to wait and see how he does in a real pool!

One of Taylor's favorite past times....playing with rocks! This was at Mimi's cousin's, Lana, house in Fredericksburg.

Another favorite...playing with cats! Good thing Lana's cats were friendly.

Wearing her "I'm the Flower Girl" pin at her first bridal shower....so sweet!

Sick little Grady. Taylor's there for support....not really! She just liked having the fold-out couch made out so she could lay in bed and watch TV.

Scoping out her next move at the park.

She always loves to play on slides.

Grady's just chillin' in his stroller. This was his first time to sit up in the stroller, so he was really enjoying himself.

His first time to wear a hat, too. Didn't seem to mind it!

Grady's first dip in the pool.

Taylor liked trying to catch the water with her mouth!

Again, trying to catch water.

Sitting under the rainbow.

Fourth of July, plus more

We spent the July 4th weekend in Pasadena with Nana and Doodah. We had a great time playing and hanging out. We celebrated July 4th at Doodah's boss's ranch in Bedias (in between Huntsville and Navasota). Taylor had a great time looking at the cows and horses. She even fed a few cows....and one practically ate her arm off, but she wasn't affected by it at all. In the evening, we watched a wonderful fireworks display and then headed back to Pasadena. We were all exhausted from a fun-filled day!!

Wearing their "crazy" hats. Taylor refers to everything as "crazy" lately!

Why not wear a hot Halloween costume in 100 degree weather?

Quality time with Daddy!

Everyone's in their PJs and ready for bed!

Hanging out at the ranch with Daddy.

Gotta go see a man about a horse!

Making out with a scary-looking cowboy! Just kidding about
the making out part...she just liked touching his face!

Taking a swim with Cody at Nana's house.

Having a great time!
