Fall Updates

Grady's first soccer game of the season.  The coach was asking who wanted to play first.  Grady hardly ever wanted to take a break...especially at practice!!  This boy loves to practice soccer!!

Grady's teacher is amazing!  She is always taking pictures of her class...and thankfully, she sends the pictures of Grady to me!

We have a new family member!  This is Silas.  He was abandoned and we took him in hoping to find a home for him.  It ends up we were the home for him!

 

 Halloween mess!  Taylor is a monster (a "cute" monster) and Grady is a Skylander.  Tyson is himself! :)

Summer Time Fun

 First day at Wonder Woods for this second-year camper!  He wouldn't let me take anymore pictures of him the rest of the week!!

 I did manage to sneak one more picture of him on the last day of camp!

 I think Grady's favorite part of being at the beach was collecting shells.  And to prove it, we have over 100 shells at our house now!

 First day at the beach and the kids wanted to be there every waking moment.  Here they are trying to get a little beach time before the sun went down.

Taylor loves everything about the beach!!  She could totally be a beach bum!  She really liked riding on the boogie board!

 She liked it despite wiping out several times!  Such a trooper!

 One of these days, it just might be a surf board....Lord help us!!

 We caught lots of hermit crabs!!  They're filling a bucket up with sand so the hermit crabs had a place to stay.

 Easily the best part of the trip for both kids!  Playing with the hermit crabs!  We actually had one hermit crab that got mixed in with our shell collection.  Poor little fellow! 

The seaweed went crazy on the last day that we were there, so we couldn't get in the water.  The kids still had a blast chasing birds and picking through the seaweed to find little critters.  Mostly they caught shrimp, but Grady actually found a baby crab.

Well, I've managed to fall back into my normal routine.  Sorry that the blogging isn't as often as I would like it to be!!  I really do have good intentions to do it more, but then life happens and I find other things that have to be done!  In any case, here are some pics from our latest happenings!!

End of the year activities!!!  Olympics Day at Taylor's school.  She got to be the torch runner for her class for the second year in a row!

One of Taylor's seven awards that she received.  This award is for making the A-Honor Roll.  She also received the Math, Writing, PE, Art, Music and the Triple Crown (academic, character and attendance) awards.  We're so proud of her!  She worked hard this year!
