Taylor and Grady's Place: January 2014

Don't know what happened there! Not sure how I forgot to blog over the last SEVEN months!! I'm pretty lame, I guess. Anyway! Here are some pics from the past several months!!

July: I don't remember too much about it...but I remember we went to Mimi and Poppa's house for the July 4th holidays. While we were there, we went to the Perot Museum of Nature and Science. It was pretty awesome! I think we could have spent a day at each floor/exhibit of the museum. And of course, the kids got to spend some crazy, fun time with their cousin, Hudson! The kids also got to spend a week in Houston at Nana and Doodah's house (sorry...no pictures of this!) and got to see their other cousins, Jack and Ben. Again, I don't remember what they did while they were together, but I'm certain it was fun!

Which led to setting up the sprinkler...

August: The kids did another round of swim lessons. They also played a bunch with their new neighbor buddies. Other than that, we just spent the rest of the summer just trying to enjoy what was left of it! And then, of course, school started!

The Aggie Yell Leaders came to Nacogdoches, so the kids got their first taste of yells and all things Aggie. It was pretty fun! Taylor was too embarrassed to do the War Hymn with us.....I think she thought we were weird!

Watch out EVERYONE!! Can't believe this kid is in pre-school!! How did he grow up so fast?!

September: The kids both played soccer (Taylor played "real" soccer while Grady only did Little Kickers....where kids 3-5 years old learn the basics of soccer). Grady is REALLY fast and seemed to outrun all of his fellow soccer mates! Taylor played with a different team this year and really loved it. She really started understanding the game better and was able to start making "plays." Taylor also started taking dance lessons for the first time ever. I never thought I would be a "dance mom," but I have to admit, seeing Taylor dance is pretty cute! I guess I don't mind if she sticks with it!

We had to go to Lake Belton for a wedding, so the cousins got to hang out at Pawpaw's house. Fun times, as always!!

October: Grady's class went on their first field trip to a local pumpkin patch, so I tagged along (of course!). After the field trip, Grady told me that I couldn't come to his school or field trips anymore because I embarrassed him!! WHAT??? I didn't even do anything to embarrass him!! Just wait Grady....the day will come when I WILL embarrass you!! Taylor's dance class got to perform a Halloween dance at Nacogdoches' Scare on the Square. I was so proud of her....she had to dance in front of a lot of people and she didn't miss a beat!! She just might be a little performer!

November: This seemed to be a busy month for us. We went to Gilmer for opening weekend of deer season. The kids always love going to Granny and Grandaddy's house....there's so much for the kids to do...lots of adventures! Grady got to experience deer hunting for the first time ever (Taylor's second time to go hunting). Grady didn't last long....he crashed out right next to Tyson. Maybe next year he'll be able to hang in there longer. A few weeks later, we were back at Gilmer for Thanksgiving! Poppa and Mimi bought some land in Lone Oak, so we spent time there during the Thanksgiving holidays. It is so awesome...so much for the kids (big and little) to do!! I'm so excited that the kids will always have a place like that to go to. I see some great memories being made there!

December: Woo hoo! Christmas time is always so much fun at the Hart house!! We all love it so much. From cutting down the Christmas tree to putting out the yard decorations and lights...the kids help out every step of the way!
