A little behind...

I apologize for not updating the blog!!  I been making empty promises of trying to do a better job.  So I've decided not to make any more promises!!  If it happens, it happens!!

Life has been great for the Harts.  Taylor started PreK 4 earlier this Fall, and she absolutely loves it!  I love hearing her stories about her friends.  In the beginning, she would tell me everything she did that day at school.  Lately it's me asking, "How was your day at school today?  What did you do?," and Taylor answering, "I don't really feel like talking right now."  Ahhh....and so it begins...

While Taylor is at school, Grady and I are usually either at the library for story time, spending some time with our playgroup or running errands.  It's been neat just spending time with him....kind of gives me a glimpse of what life would have been like if he had been the firstborn!  At first I was pretty worried at how he would be without Taylor around, but he really has done very well.

Taylor and Grady also started taking gymnastics...something that they both really enjoy.  Grady especially is quite fond of his teacher.  He just loves her!

We're really enjoying our time here in Nacogdoches.  We've made some great friends at church, have some cool neighbors that love playing with our kids, and just really enjoy doing stuff around town.

Taylor's first day of school!

Dressed and ready to go to "Scare on the Square" (kind of like a fall festival held in downtown Nacogdoches).

Little Red Riding Hood getting some goodies!

Grady was pretty good at the beanbag toss!

Red Riding Hood and her scary pirate dad!

Grady wanted to be a scary skeleton on Halloween night, so we painted his face!

Taylor posing for Aunt Haley (she wanted to try out her new camera on the kids).

So sweet!

They sure can fool everybody with their sweet and innocent-looking faces!  At least, in pictures they can!!

My little handsome boy waiting for Taylor's Thanksgiving program to begin.

Taylor up on stage with her friends.  The PreK-3 and PreK-4 year old classes performed together.  They sang some cute songs and recited a Bible memory verse.  Taylor did great!  Not an ounce of stage fright!

Grady practicing his balance beam walking skills while at Nana's house.  His teacher always tells him to hold his arms out straight, but this is how far they go!

Taylor has finally figured out how to drive the red car at Nana's!!  She still curb checks a lot, but she's pretty good at dancing to the radio music while she's driving!

Only a few days before Thanksgiving in Houston and Taylor's playing in the sand like she was at the beach or something!

And Grady's dressed like he should be at the beach!!

Finally....how it should be!  In Dallas on Thanksgiving Day trying to warm up next to the turkey fryer!

Again with the balance beam practicing!  He does this ALL the time now!!

A yummy Thanksgiving feast:  Taylor's eating the typical food at a Thanksgiving meal.  Grady is having a granola bar and some crackers (the roll was just for looks!)!!

Taylor loves her owl hat!  She's worn it to school a couple of times and she thinks it's the coolest thing!

Grady's cool turkey hat that he made at the library!
We asked Haley to take our Christmas card pictures and this was one of the shots she got of us!  It's pretty difficult to get four people looking good in the same picture!!

In full Christmas mode!!  The kids loved everything about Christmas this year....the tree, the decorations, baking....and, of course, the presents!!

Taylor at her school Christmas party!  She has a great teacher and some really sweet classmates.

In College Station a couple of days before Christmas.  These three are trouble!

My sweet nephew Ben.  This was taken right before he decided he did not want to be photographed by me anymore....

Notice the look he's giving me....that's how he looked at me every time I held up the camera!  It was hilarious!

The two red heads playing together.  Actually, it's Grady bossing Ben around.  Just wait Grady...Ben's going to be knocking you down this time next year!

Christmas Eve at Aunt Marsha's house.  Taylor and Grady love playing with their older cousins....not to mention, their older cousins have lots of cool stuff to play with!!

Christmas morning.....Grady's checking out what's left of the cookies they set out for Santa!

Taylor was pretty excited that she got her princess bicycle from Santa!

Grady was pretty overwhelmed by all of the presents.  He just likes to focus on one thing at a time.  Maybe we should tell Santa to just get him one thing next year....Grady sure wouldn't know the difference!!

Christmas evening at the lake with cousins Ashlyn and Brynlee.  They are so sweet to Taylor and she just loves playing with them!

A couple of days after Christmas....at a park in Allen.  The sun finally came out so the kids could go outside and play!  They needed to release some energy!!

My crazy monkey!

Getting ready to celebrate Christmas/New Year's with the Harts.

A great shot of the Hart family!

Taylor showing her bike-riding skills to everyone.

Grady riding one-handed!  He injured two of his fingers the first night we got to Mimi's house, and he held up his hand like this the entire time we were there!
