December fun...

The Harts are busy getting ready for Christmas!! We're just plain old busy with the kids....I guess it really doesn't matter if there's a holiday coming or not! Grady just recently had his nine-month check-up and passed with flying colors. He weighs 19 pounds, but I have no idea how long he is! He was throwing a Class-A fit when the nurse was trying to take his height measurement, so I missed it! Needless to say, I know that the boy is in the 95th percentile in height. Grady has a consultation with a cranial specialist to examine his flat head (he has one side that has never fluffed out!) the Monday after Christmas, so we'll know whether or not he has to wear a band or a helmet. Poor little guy!

Other than that, Grady is just growing up too fast! He's getting closer to walking, he "talks" all of the time, he has figured out how to get his sister in trouble and is very good at being a tattle-tale!

Tyson had to spend a week in San Antonio for a work-related conference, so Nana and Cody came up to Henrietta to keep us company.....and to keep me from going insane!! As always, Taylor had a blast playing with Nana and especially had fun chasing Cody.

We're ready to do some traveling to see our families!! Taylor is most excited for Santa Claus!! She has been asking for a bike and a car...

Grady pretty much does whatever Taylor tells him to!
Poor little boy having to wear the pink butterfly...
the least she could've done is give him the blue one!

Such a good sport!

Bath time is Grady's favorite part of the day!

He especially likes playing with Taylor in the bathtub.

Such silly kids!

My little mermaid!

Just a bowlful of fun!

Standing in front of one of the Christmas light displays at
Midwestern State University.

Another light display at MSU.

My cute little reindeer!

Ready to decorate a gingerbread tree with Nana.

This was taken right after Belle sneaked in a little taste-test.

Such a good decorator!

Taylor may or may not have tasted the green icing...

Putting on the star.

The finished product. She was so proud of her tree!

Thanksgiving

We celebrated Thanksgiving with Mimi, Poppa, Aunt Haley and Uncle Ryan in Lucas this year. Pawpaw, Uncle Pat, and Tyson's cousins, Josh and Brock also came. We had such a great time visiting with everyone and the food was absolutely delicious!! Taylor liked dipping her black-eyed peas in her mashed potatoes (whatever it takes to get her to eat her food!!), and Grady choked down his Turkey and Rice baby food. I think Grady's looking forward to next Thanksgiving when he'll be able to eat some real food!

We headed up to Gilmer the next day and spent a couple of days at Granny and Grandaddy's house. Taylor really enjoyed taking walks in the "forest" that was behind their house. We all had a fun time relaxing with our family, and the kids had a great time playing!

On the way back to Lucas, we stopped by a Christmas tree farm to get our Christmas trees! We all picked out beautiful trees. It was so fun to watch Taylor get excited about getting our trees and about everything "Christmassy!!"

My two little turkeys.

Bouncing on her cow!

Rooting for the Cowboys...

.....wearing his Romo jersey.

Grady's first Thanksgiving dinner....the look says it all.

Playing on Poppa's new toy!

Hamming it up with Aunt Patty and Mimi.

Catching a ride with Aunt Patty!

And with Mommy!!

Playing with Daddy!

Even Grady got to enjoy some family fun outside!

Grady checking out pine needles....and nibbling on some, too!

Walking with Aunt Haley.

Taylor really liked Grandaddy's cat!

On our way to cut down some Christmas trees.

Somebody was crashed out in the car before we
arrived at the tree farm!

Helping Poppa cut down his Christmas tree.

Assisting Ryan with his tree.

Lake Arrowhead

Taylor enjoyed spending the day at Lake Arrowhead.
She saw some prairie dogs and lots of birds, butterflies and grasshoppers.

This was a grasshopper that Taylor found in the grass all by herself!

Checking out a pretty butterfly!

Taylor liked to tell us "don't touch!" every time we saw some cactus.

Running towards a prairie dog hole...

Not quick enough! That prairie dog was way too fast!!

Grady's first time in the back pack and all he wanted to do
was to grab Daddy's ears!!

Halloween

All smiles b/c it's Halloween!

Practicing her "Trick or Treat" smile!

This is Grady's "Get You" smile.

Taylor dressed up as a "nice" witch....we had to tell her she
was nice or else she wasn't going to be a witch!

All ready to go!

Grady was dressed up as a penguin!

So cute!!

Our crew...Daddy was a pirate, Mommy was a convict (kind of!),
Grady a penguin and Taylor a witch.

Grady wasn't too sure about this whole thing!

Walking up to a scary door.

Candy!! Don't worry...Grady didn't eat any candy.
He sure liked to play with it, though!

Taylor's first of three suckers that night.

After eating some chocolate...

And to top it off, another sucker! Notice the disgusting
drool/stickiness on her chin. Yes, her hair is stuck to her chin.
As you can imagine, Taylor had a hard time going to sleep!!
