To start the new year, we are having a friendly competition with Doodah on who can see the most birds in one year. So on January 2nd, our adventure began! We took the kids on their first birding trip, and it was so much fun. The kids had fun.....Taylor more so than her brother. Grady liked running around being crazy....which isn't always the best behavior when trying to sneak up on some birds!!
Taylor really liked recording all of the birds....and she still does! Every time we see a new bird, both kids are excited that we get to add something to the list!
We took a break from birding and celebrated Hudson's first birthday!
The kids love playing with Hudson! Especially now that he's bigger and can "hang" with them more! Grady still isn't fond of Hudson when he messes up the toys that he's playing with....but that's a whole other story! But Taylor is obsessed with Hudson and barely lets him out of her sight.
Birding trip # 2. This time we took the kids to Lake Sam Rayburn. It wasn't quite as cold, so the kids seemed to enjoy it more.

Taylor was given two awards at school: one for science and the other for just being awesome!!
